This bachelor's thesis deals with the problematics of the telecommunication. It describes basic elements of telecommunication networks and focuses on the communication using different interafces between the elements. This process is also known as mediation. Software tools responsible for data transfers between the network elements are rapidly evolving due to a growing functionality of the telecommunication networks. The maintenance costs are considerable and growing as well. This thesis aims to reduce these costs using automation of regression testing processes in order to produce more reliable products.

Effect of optical connectors quality on transmission

This diploma thesis deals with optic fiber connectors and their influence on transmissions realized via fiber optics. Optical fibers and lightguides play the key role in telecommunications because of constant demands of higher bandwidth and data rates. Original metalic wires do not meet market requirements and so the fiber optics are more and more being used. There are various types of fibers and there are also many ways of connections. This work deals with demountable way of connection – optical connectors, which have the biggest influence on a total attenuation and route length. Connector has to meet various requirements such as cleannes, quality, mechanical construction and ferrule polishing.
Assessment of Fluctuation in the Company and Suggestions for its Improvement

The master thesis analyzes the development of fluctuation associated with the labour market in the Czech Republic. By using the fluctuation data of the chosen telecommunication company in the last few years and the statistic methods, the aim is to create a prognosis of the development of fluctuation. It should result in suggestions for improving the current unsatisfactory development. Choosing telecommunication service providers by expats living in the Czech Republic

The Bachelor thesis deals with the consumer behaviour of generation y expats, living in the Czech Republic and their attitude towards the telecommunication service providers and the services which are offered. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part of the thesis is the literature review consisting of topics covering consumer behaviour, marketing mix, and telecommunication technologies. The second part is the practical part which consists of the research and analysis of the biggest telecommunication companies in the Czech Republic following by a deep analysis and price comparisons of the participants who conducted the survey. The last part will include the conclusion and the marketing recommendation for the telecommunication companies here in the Czech Republic and their marketing strategy towards generation y expats.

The impact of regulation on innovation capacity in the telecommunication sector

This paper provides an analysis of efficiency and innovation capacity of regulatory measures in two major areas of telecommunication sector: voice telephony and broadband market. In the first part we introduce basic concepts connected with development and performance of voice telephony along with recent European regulatory measures connected to mobile termination rates (MTR) and possible externalities. Impact of introduction LRIC approach on prices of local calls is provided by econometric panel data model covering 17 countries from 2004 till 2011. We have found no significant impact. In the second part we study broadband market segmentation and performance in connection with application "ladder of investments" and "local loop unbundling" approaches. This model is tested on panel dataset of 23 countries in 2004-2010 period of time. Our findings include presence of positive relationship between all three forms of unbundled accesses with different magnitudes of effects. Following test of access payments impact on facility-based competition has detected that: high (average monthly) payments per fully unbundled access do not tend to have positive impact on number of entrants' lines.
